The Tree Committee was created as a result of Ordinance 01-2010 being enacted by the Commissioners Court of Aransas County.

The ordinance through revision and refinment was later repealed and replaced with Order #O-14-2021, enacted by the Aransas County Commissioners Court in November of 2021.

Ordinance O-14-2021 has been repealed and replaced with Order# O-27-2023; by Order O-27-2023 on November 27, 2023 being enacted by the Commissioners Court of Aransas County.
